  • Thomas Ford was the son of the late Walter Ford, of Milton, Dunedin, New Zealand.

    Embarkd Wellington, 1 April 1916; disembarked Suez, 2 May 1916.
    Embarked Alexandria for England, 29 May 1916; disembarked Devonport, England, 9 June 1916, and marched into Sling Camp.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 27 September 1916; joined NZ Divisional Train, in the field, and posted to No 1 Company, 16 November 1916.
    Transferred to No 2 Company, 1 December 1916.
    On leave to England, 21 September 1916; rejoined No 1 Company from leave, 7 October 1917.
    Transferred to No 1 NZ Field Bakery, in the field, 7 December 1917.
    Admitted to No 1 Australian General Hospital, Rouen, 1 March 1918 (jaundice, malaria); placed on dangerously ill list, 3 March 1918.
    Died from sickness, 2.30 pm. 15 March 1918 (carcinoma of liver).
