      Lance-Corporal A. J. Forsyth (Wellington Battalion, killed), was a Gisborne boy, a son of Mr A. Forsyth. He was enthusiastic in military matters, and very popular. He left on August 16th with the Gisborne draft of the Main Expeditionary Force. He was a teacher at the Patutahi School.
