    Transferred to Headquarters Signallers, 16 August 1917.
    Detached to School of Instruction, 1 September 1917; rejoined Bn, in the field, 26 September 1917.
    Wounded in action, 14 October 1917 (gas shell, mustard), and admitted to No 1 NZ Field Ambulance, and transferred same day to No 3 Australian Casualty Clearing Station; to No 5 General Hospital, Rouen, 16 October 1917; to England, 27 October 1917, and admitted to No 1 NZ General Hospital, Brockenhurst, 29 October 1917; transferred to NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, 4 December 1917; to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 13 February 1918.
