    Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, France, 7 April 1916.
    Found guilty, Havre, 21 April 1916, of being absent without leave: forfeited 1 day's pay under Royal Warrant.
    Admitted to 11th General Hospital, 1 June 1916; transferred to 9th Stationary Hospital, 3 June 1916 (not yet diagnosed: slight); discharged to No 10 Convalescent Camp, 28 June 1916; attached to NZ Base Depot, Etaples, 2 July 1916.
    Admitted to 18th General Hospital, Camieres, 15 July 1918; discharged to Base Details, 28 July 1916.
    Marched out to Divisional Artillery, 20 September 1916; posed to 13th Battery, 21 September 1916.
