  • Karl Frank was the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Frank, of Barrett Rd., New Plymouth, New Zealand.

    Embarked Wellington, 16 February 1917; disembarked Devonport, England, 2 May 1917, and marched in to Wellington Infantry Regiment, Sling Camp.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 6 June 1917; marched in to Base Depot, Etaples, 8 June 1917; joined 2nd Bn, Wellington Infantry Regiment, in the field, 26 June 1917.
    Wounded in action, 9 August 1917; admitted to No 3 NZ Field Ambulance, 10 August 1917; transferred same day to No 2 Australian Casualty Clearing Station.
    Died of wounds, 10 August 1917.
