    Joined 2nd Bn, Auckland Infantry Regiment, Moascar, 13 March 1916.
    Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, France (date indecipherable).
    Attached to 1st Australian Tunnelling Company, 30 June 1916.
    Found guilty, 10 July 1916, of insubordination: awarded 14 days' Field Punishment No 2.
