      Citation, London Gazette 23 April 1918, p4889 Citation cancelled and the following one substituted London Gazette 26 July 1918, p8870 For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in superintending the move forward of guns to advanced positions to support Infantry attack. This work was performed for two days on extremely bad roads under constant shell fire. It was largely due to his zeal and determination that, despite heavy casualties to personnel and horses, the guns were successfully got forward. AWMM
