    Admitted to No 2 NZ General Hospital, Walton-on-Thames, while on leave, 14 April 1917 (injured ankle: soldier in no way to blame); transferred to NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, 21 May 1917; discharged to Engineers Depot, Christchurch, 25 June 1917.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 13 October 1917; rejoined Tunnelling Company, 22 October 1917.
