  • Herbert Harold Gaskin was born on the 15th July 1891 in Carterton, New Zealand. he was the son of George Gaskin and Esther Jane Southee. Herberts brother of Leonard Matthew Gaskin who married my Great Aunty Alice May Hooper. Herbert has his name entered on his parents grave at the Clareville Cemetery, Carterton, NZ but died in Cairo, Egypt from wounds obtained during WW1.
