  • My husband Lindsay's second name is Arnold, his fathers's name was Arnold George and his mother was Ida one of your younger sisters.
You were eight years old when she was born and when your Dad registered Aida, like the opera, as your Mum wished, but forgot the 'i' in her name...it must have been pretty colourful in your home for a while at least until your brother came along because he got the spelling of Earnest as Oscar Wilde wrote it, and your Mum probably impressed upon him the 'Importance of Being ....' definitely worth a smile or two :0)
When you passed away Ida was nearly 12 but she never forgot you and nether, too, have we.
A poppy is miniscule for cost that you bore for us...I wish I could give you truck loads!

    With love and remembrance, always,
    Happy Valentines Day xx
