  • In this very unusual year when we are isolated in our homes due to the Covid 19 Global pandemic, and are unable to attend Anzac Services, I just wanted my great uncles to know the sacrifices they made in their youth had not been forgotten - although I had difficulty finding my grandfather's elder brother, who I knew as "Uncle Fred", as I had forgotten his first name, and he didn't show up in my original search as I used his correct name Selby-Bennetts, with an "S". The "S" was always an issue in our family as my mother Kath Bennetts, only sister Jean Bennetts married a Mr Ken Bennett , and lost her "S", so my cousins on the Bennetts side of my family surnames are Bennett! - but Uncle Fred should I believe be BennettS!!.
