  • Son of Clara Marsack Tegner and Louis Ferdinand Tegner, of Wellington, New Zealand.

    On return to New Zealand he was appointed Temporary Sergeant Major on the strength of the New Zealand Permanent Staff as a Sergeant Instructor in Wellington.

    He was attached to 21st Mounted Rifles to enable him to leave New Zealand and to join the Indian Army. The discharged from NZEF took effect on disembarkation in Bombay, India.

    Middle name appears as both Beecher and Becher in his military personell file and as Becher on nominal roll.
    Manuka then transfer to Morea at Sydney and Mashobra at Bombay for Suez. AWMM
