    One of the 50 Tuhoe soldiers who fought in WW1. Hamua. Pvt. World War 1, 1914-1918, sn.16/846, 2nd Māori Contingent, embarked 18-Sept-1915 for Suez, Egypt. Awarded 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal. Flax cutter. Next of kin - Toheriri Horopapera (brother) Kutarere and Hape Porourangi (Uncle) Ohiwa; b. 1886 Ohiwa, declared age was 25Y when he enlisted in 1915, killed in action 21-Jul-1917 Belgium, aged 31Y. Buried in Underhill Farm Cemetery (Charles Timutimu Research Project). AWMM
