    He was a prominent member of Lyall Bay Surf and Life-Saving Club; Wellington Swimming Club and the Athletic Football Club

    Attested twice 1914 and 1915

    We believe he is the man named as J Gosling on the No 3 Field Ambulance, Memorial plaque, St Paul's Church, Auckland. AWMM
