  • We will remember, with love your great great great niece
    Public - Ebany Gwen - Other Relative - 27 April 2015
    Report
  • On behalf of my Father John Graham - (Private Alexander Herbert Graham was my Dads uncle); and myself I want to honour this heroic young man who left Wanganui on August 14th 1914 along with so many other young NewZealanders, he was so full of excitement and volunteered the moment war broke out in Europe, sadly he was never to come home, killed in action on May 1, 1915 (23 years old). How proud we are of this young man, how sad we are reading the diary entries, how amazed we are at their strength and courage, how comforted we feel by their comraderie, how upset we feel by what they saw and had to endure. How privileged am I to have him as my Great Uncle. I would love to know a little more about his place of burial and exact cause of death. How pleased I am to honour my great uncle, with this small but heart felt tribute.

  • To my great great uncle. Proud of you
