  • To my Grandfather who was silent in his adult life on his service in the WWI , how we missed as his Grandchildren to hear of the sacrifice he and his mates made to protect us. I only have one photo of Harry in his uniform and this is one of my prize possessions, I have followed in my Granddads footsteps in serving in the Reserve Armed Forces and just about to complete 27 years of service. I never new that Harry was in the armed forces that served in the Gallipoli campaign until I received the photo. My Father (Granddads Son) never really mentioned about Harry"s involvement in the war so we knew nothing much about it at all. I'm proud of the fact that I can see his records on your site and I know in my heart that he will not be forgotten and my children will know a little more about their Family. His Medals have been mounted and sit proudly on the wall at my childhood home under the wat
