      The Official History, records that Private Greenwood was first buried in an isolated grave 8 and 3/4 miles S.E. of Valenciennes, France. AWMM
    • Brother of (1) Trooper Gascoyne Cecil Greenwood NZEF Service 13/1034 of the Auckland Mounted Rifles NZEF - who died of wounds 2 December 1915 - at Gallipoli, Turkey.

      Also brother of (2) Lieutenant Roy Harry Greenwood - served Australian forces (AIF) Regimental service # 72; Born Ashburton, New Zealand. Enlisted 30 April 1915 at Brisbane, Queensland, Australia (aged 18 years). Served France & Belgium. Wounded in action multiple times. Returned to Australia - on 18 January 1919 - aboard HT 'Ulysses'. Died at Sydney, Australia in 1970.
