Family recount he was nominated for 8th Reinforcements 2NZEF but not accepted and that he embarked with T Force (Tonga) on Garrison duty

World war 2 Nominal Roll 10 p. 15 lists him as embarking for overseas but we do not have information (November 2008) to say where he went. AWMM
