  • We have found a postcard dated France, February, 1918 addressed to Miss R Sawyer, Ohakune, Main Trunk, New Zealand. The message reads, "From a soldier on active service. Kia Ora" No signature just the Service No. 12/3742 (so we know it is from Thomas Maule) We have laid a poppy to show respect to the memory of Thomas Maule. We would be very happy to find out anything about him and how this postcard came to be in Katikati. This is our first finding of a WW1 Soldiers' history.
