  • Son of Thomas Hall and Helen Baird Hall, Arney Road, Remuera, Auckland, New Zealand.

    Left NZ in 1914, saw continuous service in Egypt, Gallipoli, and France. He was well-known throughout the whole company for his devotion to duty, and his quiet, cheery manner and unselfishness had won for him the affection and esteem of all who knew him. Was attached to NZ Engineers L.W.B. Div., Signals Company.
