  • My dad was a wonderful father to me and my brother and husband to my mum. I had such a happy childhood despite Dad's awful experiences in World War I. He was badly wounded at Passchendaele but it never affected his wonderful loving nature. He served again in the Air Force in World War II. I have many photos of him during both wars and have nothing but wonderful memories of my darling dad. I am hoping to travel to the battlefield of Passchendaele for the centenary in 2017 to honour his memory.
