    John served Egypt (1916); France & Belgium (1916-1917-1918).
    Returned to New Zealand - 12 September 1919 - aboard SS 'Maranui'.
    Remembered - with his brother George - at his birth place of Nelson - on the World War 1 'Wall of Remembrance' at Founders Park, Nelson City - which commemorates the 3600+ Nelson & Districts born service men and women who served in World War 1.
