    Admitted to 25th General Hospital, Etaples, 25 January 1917 (contusion, left arm: trivial nature; injury sustained in performance of military duty - training - soldier not to blame); transferred to hospital in England (details not recorded), 20 February 1917; discharged to NZ Convalescent Depot, Hornchurch, 28 February 1917; to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 19 April 1917.
    Wounded in action; died of wounds, 10 December 1917.
    Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal
