    • Four Gasparich brothers went to WWI: Francis Clement Gasparich (25/758); Edward Anthony Gasparich (6/2420); Joseph George Gasparich (12/553); John Weldon Gasparich (44902) AWMM
    • Frank Gasparich was the son of Antonio Gasparich who was a cook at bush camps at Northern Wairoa and at Karekare/Piha. Frank worked at the Piha Mill as a bushman. He injured his left hand during WW1 so when he came back to NZ retrained as a roofing tile layer. Franks older brother Joe wrote and was interviewed about the family and his own WW1 experiences. You will find in the book Speaking for Ourselves, and also at Anzac Cove, Public - Sandra - Researcher - 5 November 2019 - Information from descendants, military personnel file, electoral rolls, Gasparich family papers in AIM.

  • Francis Clement was born 9/1/1894. He died 23/9/1977. He married Kate Enid Faulkner in 1922. They lived at Waterview, Auckland. Information found in Waikumete Cemetery records and Historical BDM online.
