    Embarked Alexandria for France, 7 April 1916; disembarked Marseilles. Found guilty, 19 April 1916, of drunkenness in Marseilles: awarded 2 days' detention.
    Admitted to No 1 NZ Field Ambulance, 9 July 1916 (synovitis, right knee); transferred to 30th General Hospital, Calais, 10 July 1916; to England, 13 July 1916, and admitted to 2nd London General Hospital, 14 July 1916; to NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, 16 November 1916; discharged to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 21 November 1916.
    Admitted to NZ Reserve Group, Camp Sling, 16 December 1916; transferred to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 30 January 1917.
    Admitted to No 3 NZ General Hospital, 3 February 1917 (nephritis: slight).
