Mrs. J. Hamilton, of 103, Stout street, has received the sad news that her brother, Private Montrose A. Baker, has died of wounds in the Walton-on-Thames Hospital. Private Baker, who left Gisborne with the Seventh Reinforcements, was wounded on September 17th. He was a great favorite with many friends, who will deeply regret his death. He was a plumber by trade, and prior to enlisting was in the employ of Mr. RAIT. He was a popular Member of the Fire Brigade.
