  • John Alexander Herd was my great great grandfather and we have replica's of his army medals at home. My mum has shared his medals with my class at school and also my Dad's great grandfather's medals (he was from England). For my school assignment for ANZAC day we had to search for a soldier from WW1 and I chose my great great grandfather. I think he must have been very brave.
