  • Obituary
The sad intelligence has been received by. Mr and Mrs. A. Hansen, of Mangapapa bf the death of their sixth son, Rfm. Oswald Hansen of the New Zealand Rifle Brigade, who is reported to have died| of wounds on May 4, at the Third Stationary Hospital, Boulogne. Rfm. Hansen enlisted on attaining the age of 20 and left with the 3Oth Reinforcements: Recent advice by mail stated .that he left England for France on February 21st last, so he had only been a few weeks on the Western front, and evidently participated in the recent heavy fighting. He is the second Son to make .the supreme sacrifice for King and country, his brother Elvin having been killed ,at Gallipoli. Two other brothers, Lionel and Ruie, are at present serving with the artillery in France., Deep sympathy will be extended to the family in their sad loss.
