    News of the death at the Dardanelles, of Private Joseph Harding, son of Mr. Clias. Harding, the well-known sawmiller of Ruatapu, reached here last week. Private Harding, who joined the Main Force in Southland, worked at the Mananui sawmill for some considerable time. He was also employed at Priest’s Ruatapu sawmill prior to leaving for Southland.
