  • John Harris was the son of John and Constance Harris, of Foxton, New Zealand.

    Embarked Alexandria, 16 June 1915; rejoined Bn, Gallipoli, 22 June 1915.
    Wounded in action, Anzac Cove, 27 July 1915 (gun shot wound, right knee and scalp); admitted to HS 'Dongola', 9 August 1915, and transferred to NZ General Hospital, Abbassia, 13 August 1915.
    Died of sunstroke and heart failure following wounds, 15 September 1915.
