  • I recently found a photograph of William's grave - he died on 14 December 1916. He was a brother of my grandmother Esther Catherine Poyzer ( nee Cruickshank). Until the photograph was found amongst an elderly relative's possessions, my generation had no knowledge of his service and death in WW 1. It is sad how quickly people can be forgotten.
