  • Son of the late William Grylls Addison and of Alice Addison, of 3, West Terrace, Cranbrook, Kent, England.

    Sergeant Addison was killed in action on Rhododendron Spur during the August Offensive. His brother, 6/1444 Corporal John Humphrey Addison (Canterbury Infantry Battalion), also served on Gallipoli.

    Listed with incorrect rank by CWG (November 2009)

    Admitted to NZ Field Ambulance, 20 May 1915 (influenza), and transferred same day to Hospital Ship; to No 1 Australian Stationary Hospital, Lemnos; discharged to duty, 7 June 1915.
    Killed in action, 7 August 1915.
