    Admitted to XV Corps Collecting Station, 30 September 1916; transferred from 26th General Hospital to England on board HS 'Dieppe', 9 October 1916, and admitted to 2nd London General Hospital, Chelsea, 10 October 1916 (goitre); transferred to No 1 NZ General Hospital, Brockenhurst, 9 January 1917; to NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, 6 March 1917; to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 23 May 1917.
    Classified unfit for military service, 30 May 1917.
    Commenced return to New Zealand from Plymouth on board 'Arawa', 21 July 1917; discharged, 11 November 1917 (no longer fit for military service on account of pre-enlistment disability aggravated by active service).
