  • 21/04/2015 My great uncle Travis Anderson Osborn 3/2009 was in the New Zealand Medical Corps, 2 Field Ambulance with Private B Hawkins (3/2009, 2 Field Ambulance). I have a copy of a letter written by B Hawkins to the mother of Travis following his death 17 September 1916 from wounds received in France. It describes how Travis spent his last hours and I believe from the letter that Ben Hawkins and Travis were close friends. Please contact me if you as a relative would like a copy of this letter.
