    The. sad advice has beep received of the death on December 3rd of George Douglas Hay, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Hay, Kaitaratahi. The deceased, who was 24 years of age, left with the Eleventh Reinforcements; he had been in France all the time, except for a short period in England, and it was just after his return to France that he was killed in action. He was born in Poverty Bay and resided most of his time at Matawhero and Kaitaratahi, arid had been working at Puha when he enlisted.
