  • I am a Canadian high school teacher and an amateur war historian. Pte John Clancy's war medals and a collar badge somehow made their way to Canada, and I recently purchased them.

Most of my research connects to the CEF, but owning a piece of the NZEF is a wonderful treasure to share our common history of colonies becoming nations in their own right through the crucible of ww1. My own great grandfather and my great uncle served in ww1 and ww2 respectively, but I have no idea where their medals are.

If somehow you know of Pte Clancy's family who have become separated from their own history, feel free to email.
