  • Thomas Ham was the son of William Edward and Hester Hawthorne Ham (later Bartlett). He was the husband of Violet Ham of Wakari, Dunedin.

    Two sons, brothers served in WW1 William Arthur Ham (6/246) the elder was killed; Thomas Henry Merrick Ham (2/3004 69164) survived and died in service in WW2.

    Stepfather, Private Cyril Montague Bartlett (33677) was also killed in WW1
