  • Hi Granddad
I was 12 years old when you passed away in 1982 and I still miss you so much.
As a child I was always fascinated by the scar on your thigh and constantly annoyed you with questions until nana finally told me that you were shot when you served in the first world war.
You are the reason that I joined the army when I was old enough to serve and I wore that uniform with pride knowing that your sacrifice and the sacrifice of so many made our world a safer place. Every Anzac Day I march with pride knowing that those that marched before us are never far away.
    Always remembered never forgotten.
