  • Ernest Sinclair was my grandfather (affectionately known as Gang) whom I never got to meet. My mother, Winifred May Sherborne (nee Sinclair) was 4 months pregnant with me when he died suddenly of a heart attack on 10 October 1959, aged 64 years. I understand that my grandfather served in Egypt, and on the Western Front where he received a serious wound to an elbow which rendered the affected arm useless. RIP Gang and thank you for your service and sacrifice.
