    "RIFLEMAN H. P. I. HENDRICKSEN (sic).
Mrs. Hendrick Hendricksen (sic), of 60, Crummer Road, Grey Lynn, has been notified that her husband, Rifleman Hendrick P. I. Hendricksen(sic), was killed in action in France on August 26. Rifleman Hendricksen (sic) left New Zealand with the Twelfth Reinforcements.

He was educated at the Napier Street School and Prince Albert College, and was well known in musical circles. After the Somme battle, owing to bad health, Rifleman Hendricksen(sic) was appointed conductor of an orchestra at a base for twelve months, and had just returned to the trenches when the casualty was reported.

He was the eldest son of the late H. P. Hendricksen (sic) and Mrs. Hendricksen (sic), of 67, Cook Street."
