    • William George CHESHIRE was the son of George & Jane CHESHIRE (nee Parsons) from Ponsonby, Auckland. They had three sons – James Henry (1890), William George (b1894) and Harold Thomas (b1896). They were born in England.

      Two sons enlisted with the NZEF - James Henry (68233) and William George (10440).

    Cheshire, William George (Pop) (Regtl Nos 10440 & 413498, Vet WW1 & WW2) on April 6, 1983 (after a short illness) at Whangarei Hospital (late of Saorsa Village, Waipu). Dearly Loved husband of Essie, loved father Jim & Joan (Ruakaka), loved grandfather of Rhonda & Ian (Auckland) and great-grandfather of Michael, Tiffany & Derek; in his 91st year. At rest. A service will be held at the graveside, Waipu Cemetery, Cove Rd, Waipu, at 1.30pm tomorrow, Friday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made direct to the St John Ambulance Brigade, P O Box 44, Marsden, Ruakaka. All communications to J Cheshire, R.D.1, Ruakaka. Morris & Morris Funeral Directors.
