  • He was the son of James & Margaret ANDERSON (nee McKenzie). Bruce was the youngest of their nine children. In 1920, he married Ethel May CLARK. They had four daughters – Margaret Anne, Betty, Catherine & Ruth.

    His mother was born In Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and her family immigrated on the ‘Highland Lass’. They settled in Waipu Public - Sandra - Researcher - 2 December 2018 - Waipu Museum

    ANDERSON, Bruce (Regtl No. 12962, 16th Waikato Regt., First World War). On August 11, 1987, at Middlemore Hospital (late of Ranfurly War Veteran’s Home); in his 99th year. Loved husband of the late Ethel May, loved father and father-in-law of Margaret & John Forsythe (Sydney), and the late Betty, Ruth and Kitty, and George Stuart (Howick), loved grandfather of Peter & Anne Forsythe, and Mark, Richard and Tony Stuart, and great grandfather of Jane, Anna, Meredith, Douglas and Natalie.
