  • Edward George Fox was my Great-Grandfather and served on the Western Front as part of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force from 1916 in WW1. His experience was never talked about in my family and it is only now- the 100th anniversary of Gallipoli that I am honouring him. I strive to find more about him and his contribution to the war effort. I believe that my generation must have the knowledge and respect for these ANZAC'S like my Great- Grandfather as they sacrificed their livelihoods for New Zealand and its future with some their life. They are ultimately the reason why we live in peace and prosperity 100 years on. This needs to be honoured and celebrated forever more. I say thank-you to my Great-Grandfather and all the other men from the bottom of my heart. Helena.
