    The sad news was received at Elsthorpe with great regret that Pte Walter Hollins , Dairy Farmer, Norsewood, was killed in action in France. Having lived in this district for many years he was well known & highly esteemed. As a result of his industry & thrift he Walter Hollins, dairy farmer, Norsewood a few years ago. He enlisted early in the war but was turned down. Later he was called up in the ballot and left with the 34th Reinforcements. His aged widowed mother, to whom he was a most devoted son, has the sympathy of all, as well as the other members of the family.
