  • Charles Oscar Erickson 1890-1962 was the 5th of seven sons of Scandinavian parents Swedish Petrus Eriksson 1856-1941 and Norwegian Josephine Christina Hansen 1861-1938. He was a shepherd and like all his brothers served in WW1. He may have been born in Palmerston Nth where the family operated a laundry business in Broad St. but would have grown up in Burns St. Dannevirke. Although he was my Grand Uncle I never met him and according to scant family records and conflicting official records it appears he never married.
