    Admitted to hospital, Codford, 21 September 1916 (frontal suppurating sinus); transferred to No 1 NZ General Hospital, Brockenhurst, 25 September 1916; to NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, 5 January 1917; to No 2 NZ General Hospital, Brockenhurst, 19 January 1917.
    Taken off strength NZEF and placed on NZ Roll, 18 March 1917.
    Commenced return to New Zealand from Liverpool on board HMNZT 'Maheno', 18 March 1917; discharged (no longer physically for War Service on account of illness contracted on Active Service), 23 November 1917.
