  • Rewi Tangiora was the son of Hapeta Tangiora, of Opoutama, Mahia, New Zealand.

    Brothers Tere Hape, Hona Hape, Brougton (Paratene) Tangiora and Rewi Tangiora served in WWI. Only Paratene returned. Tere and Hone took the first name of their father as their surname and Brougton and Rewi the Tangiora ingoa. AWMM
