  • I appreciate the contribution my grandfather made in honour of his country and for his family. He died, after the war, when I was 2 years old and I don't remember him well, but I am grateful he was willing to play his part in defending his country. My grandmother, his wife, Muriel Biggs, brought me up from the age of 9 until I left home to get married. Thank you, grandfather.
