  • William was the first cousin of my grandfather (David Hutchison Redwood). It is one hundred years ago today, 23/1/2018, since he died of wounds at the Canadian Casualty Clearing Station, Poperinge, Belgium. I believe he was injured on the night of 18th/19th February 1918 in Poloygon Wood. He is buried in the adjacent cemetery which I visited on 23/1/2018.
