Roll of honour, listing World War 1 soldiers from the Cook Islands. Ref: 1/1-006732-G. Alexander Turnbull Library, Wellington, New Zealand. This is one of two honours boards. The second relates to the Fourth and Fifth contingents. Both are now housed in the Pioneer Lounge of the Cook Islands RSA. The Two boards originally stood in the old courthouse, but were moved just before a fire destroyed the building. (Information from Henry Wichman of Rarotonga, 2010). /records/22480864

    Embarked Port Said to join the British Expeditionary Force, France, 9 April 1916.
    Admitted to No 7 General Hospital, St Omer, 12 June 1916 (German measles); rejoined unit, in the field, 30 June 1916.
    Admitted to No 2 NZ Field Ambulance, 3 January 1917 (chilblains, feet); transferred to NZ Division Rest Station, 4 January 1917; rejoined unit, in the field, 17 January 1917.
    On leave to United Kingdom, 1 August 1917; rejoined unit, in the field, 13 August 1917.
    Found guilty, 20 October 1917, of when on Active Service being absent from Working Parade, 5.45 am to 11.15 am, 20 October 1917, thereby causing his work to be performed by another soldier: awarded 7 days' Field Punishment No 2, and forfeited 1 day's pay.
    Detached to Rarotongan Company, 14 January 1918.
